ICTP visitors can send both their official and private mail through the Mail Office located at the Leonardo Building (sharing the same area as InfoPoint). Official correspondence should be given to the Mail Office in open envelopes.
Visitors in the research groups, Associates, Affiliates and Postgraduate Diploma Programme students are entitled to one shipment of two envelopes of 2 kg each of scientific printed matter, to be sent to the same destination, per month and one shipment for every activity attended. Visitors must exhibit their name badge to send an official shipment. They may also send personal mail at their own expense (international express courier service is available).
All correspondence and internal notices sent to visitors during their stay are placed in their mail boxes. ICTP visitors are urged to check their mail boxes regularly.
The Mail Office also sells computer disks, CD-ROMS, DVDs, magnetic cards for photocopiers, and USB memory sticks (8Gb, with ICTP logo, for €2.50 for the first one; additional USB sticks are priced at €5.00 each).
For official and private requests; photographs taken are of document size only. Cost is 50 eurocents each. Service is provided at the Mail office and payments should be made directly to its staff.
The Mail Office also provides a photo service for visitors who need pictures taken for their ICTP badge or for other identification documents.Photos cost €0.50 each. Payments should be made directly to staff at the Mail Office.
