2026 PoC Postdoctoral Position - ERC CUSHOSP project

ICTP is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join an interdisciplinary team within the Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics Section. The researcher will contribute to the project "Capturing UV Sunlight Using Hydrogen-Bond Networks: Organic Sunscreens for Skin Protection," funded under the ERC framework (project number 101247467), closely collaborating with Dr. Alberto Cazzaniga’s team at the Area Science Park and Prof. Silvia Marchesan’s group at the University of Trieste. The successful candidate will develop and apply AI- and machine learning–driven strategies to design novel organic supramolecular assemblies for incorporation into next-generation, eco-friendly sunscreens.

This is a one-year postdoctoral position (plus 1 year possible extension) to start at the beginning of 2026.
