APS-EPS-ICTP Travel Award Fellowship Programme 2026

ICTP is now accepting applications for a career-enhancing opportunity for active, early career scientists or doctoral students from developing countries. 

The APS-EPS-ICTP Travel Award Fellowships has 3 grants to award in 2026, to outstanding doctoral students and early‑career physicists, preferably under the age of 45, who are within 10 years of the completion of their PhD. Eligible applicants must be nationals of developing countries and currently studying or working in their home country or in another developing country. Candidates should also have a clear plan to return to the laboratory of their alma mater or to another institution with which they have an already established scientific collaboration, for a period of two consecutive months. Further information about this programme and its requirements can be found here: https://www.ictp.it/opportunity/aps-eps-ictp-travel-award-fellowship-programme-atap

The following  documents need to be included in the application:

• a complete CV and publication list
• at least one letter of reference
• a letter of agreement by the host laboratory 
• a motivation letter
• a one-page budget plan.
