"I wanted to learn how nature really works"

Originally from Pakistan, a country whose connections with ICTP have run deeply ever since the Institute's foundation, Komal Rubab came to Trieste to learn more about the weird world of quantum mechanics. Her Diploma project, supervised by Rosario Fazio and Emanuele Tirrito, explores the very functioning of entanglement and spin systems, trying to better understand what makes quantum computing work. From the fall, she will be a PhD student at SISSA.
