Call for Quantum Computing Use Case Ideas

The Open Quantum Institute (OQI) is committed to unlocking the potential of quantum computing for the benefit of all, irrespective of geographical, economic, or scientific constraints and it brings together public and private stakeholders as well as experts from the United Nations and large NGOs for inclusive access to quantum computing, offering concrete solutions to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is an initiative launched by the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) and hosted by CERN.

As a partner of the Open Quantum Institute, ICTP warmly invites scientists worldwide to submit their ideas for quantum computing use cases through a call for submissions that will be open until 15 June 2024.

Please note that all use case ideas need to be submitted via this submission form.

Through this call, OQI aims to support up to 10 projects that will develop ideas into use case outlines, offering a neutral platform for collaboration and building teams with multidisciplinary expertise.

Some of the projects will eventually be selected to receive free credits for early testing and implementation on quantum simulators and quantum processors available on OQI’s partners’ cloud platforms.

For additional information in the call, please consult the Guidelines available on the OQI website.

For any questions, please contact OQI at oqi.info@cern.ch.
