Understanding Climate Change and Sensitivity

Climate change is a reality and human activities do affect the change, but what we cannot be certain of is extent of these activities' influence; this formed the crux of the talk given by Professor Michael Ghil at ICTP on 12 April 2012.

Professor Ghil who holds positions at École Normale Supérieure, Paris, and University of California, Los Angeles, was the ICTP colloquium speaker and he spoke about the "The Complex Physics of Climate Change and Climate Sensitivity: A Grand Unification". He is considered one of the leading experts in the filed of climate research and has been awarded the Alfred Wegener Medal and Honorary Membership of the European Geosciences Union for 2012.

The complete lecture recording will be available soon on ICTP.tv.
