Fernando Quevedo begins tenure as ICTP's 4th director
ICTP's new director, Fernando Quevedo, has officially started his new role. Quevedo, a Guatemalan national, comes to ICTP from Cambridge University, UK, where he is a professor of theoretical physics. He is a well-known theoretical particle physicist with wide-ranging research interests in string theory, phenomenology and cosmology. He brings a wealth of experience with him, having worked at such prestigious research institutes as CERN and the Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA.
