ICTP Prize Winner 1987

The ICTP Prize in honour of Nikolaj N. Bogolubov (Russia), a great friend of the ICTP, in the fields of Mathematics and Solid State Physics, was awarded to Abdullah Sadiq, Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in recognition of his contributions to scientific knowledge in the field of solid state physics. His diverse research interests in condensed matter physics have included Ising models, correlated percolation and its relations to spin glass transition and long chain polymers. He has been active in the area of computer simulation of physical systems and his current studies relate to the kinetics of irreversible chemical processes.
