Professor Peter Zoller

Professor for Theoretical Physics, University of Innsbruck; Scientific Director at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, Innsbruck, Austria

University of Innsbruck; IQOQI, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Austria

His research interests include atomic physics and theoretical quantum optics, and many-body quantum physics with quantum gases, and quantum information, in close collaboration with experiment. He gained pioneering contributions in these fields.

Peter Zoller has received numerous awards for his achievements in the field of quantum optics and quantum information and especially for his pioneering work on quantum computers, quantum simulators and quantum communication among which the Dirac Medal in 2006 and the Wolf Prize in Physics in 2013.
