ICTP is pleased to promote a new funding opportunity for South African researchers. This partnership between ICTP and the National Research Foundation of South Africa offers mobility grants to allow researchers and doctoral students from South Africa to both come to ICTP for schools and visits, and to host ICTP researchers in South Africa.
The NRF-ICTP research collaborative agreement aims to provide a platform for undertaking world-class research by facilitating accessing to cutting-edge research equipment and expertise that are not available in the country but are available at ICTP.
Applications can be submitted through the NRF online application process at https://nrfsubmission.nrf.ac.za. A detailed call document outlining the eligibility criteria can be found here.
The application closes 3 August, 2018.
ICTP hopes to craft agreements with other countries and research foundations to help more researchers network, learn, and travel. This partnership with South Africa's National Research Foundation provides a great template.
