Medical Physics Masters students receive degrees
MMP Graduation

Today ICTP celebrated the graduation of the third class of Masters in Medical Physics students, a program co-run with the University of Trieste, and supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the University of Trieste Hospital, the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP), and the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (EFOMP).

The graduation ceremony was held December 6, 2017 at 11:00 in ICTP's Budinich Lecture Hall, with degrees handed out by ICTP Director Fernando Quevedo and University of Trieste Rector Maurizio Fermeglia. The ceremony will be recorded and available on ICTP's Facebook and Youtube pages.

Twenty students from twenty countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe received their degrees, thirteen men and seven women. These promising young medical physicists were selected from and supported by their home countries for advanced study at ICTP. The students spend a year taking courses at ICTP, and then a year in clinical study at hospitals throughout Italy and Croatia, graduating with solid theoretical and hands-on training.
