Applications and supporting documentation are accepted during the application period (1 July to 30 September) only via the ICTP online application system. Applications, supporting documents and additional information arriving by other means (such as email or regular post) will not be considered.
The application is to be made by the person who will coordinate the agreement if it is granted.
Online application form
The online application comprises two parts where information must be entered:
Logging out of the system saves whatever information has been entered. It is possible to make changes or additions at any time both to the profile and to the application form itself. Applicants are encouraged to always keep their profile information in the online application up-to-date.
Data entry and information saving
When completing the online application form, comprehensive instructions will guide the applicant step-by step on how to fill out and submit the form.
All questions must be replied to in English.
It is important that the name of the applicant is spelled the same way in all documents, i.e. as it appears in the applicant's passport. Furthermore, when nominating affiliates, the applicant must ensure that the proposed affiliates' names are also spelled as in their respective passports.
Applicants must specify the field of research of the Institute and provide a detailed description of the research objectives aimed for if the Institute is Federated to ICTP. The applicant will be asked to explain the overall objectives of the Institute as well as its regional impact.
