Physics Without Frontiers

Worldwide physics outreach

Algerian physics research activities have been growing rapidly, presenting a unique and well timed opportunity to instigate a drive for a new generation of experimental physicists to add to the growing physics community.

A PWF Roadshow was organised in 2013 visiting three universities across Algeria to stimulate the students interest in experimental physics with focus on current research and activities in the field of experimental high energy physics and to educate and invigorate the students with further study opportunities in physics and possible career paths in research. Read more about the project here.

A number of students have gone on to further study in particle physics, some working with ICTP and a group from Constaintine University visited CERN in 2014.

A school will be organised in 2020 on partcile physics, lead by Farid Ould-Saada.
