ICTP will be well represented at Trieste's first 'Pint of Science' event, which takes place over the course of three days. From 15 to 17 May, researchers from Trieste science institutes who are passionate about their work will share the joy of science with the general public at four local pubs.

Themes for the four venues include astronomy, technology, planet Earth, and the human body. ICTP high energy physicist Paolo Creminelli will talk about black holes, while colleague Antonio Celani of ICTP's Quantitative Life Sciences section will participate in a discussion on artificial intelligence. Under the planet Earth theme, two scientists from ICTP's Earth System Physics section--Karim Aoudia and Rita Nogherotto--will take about earthquakes and climate, respectively.

Each evening's talks begin at 19:30. For the full program, including details about the talks and locations of the pubs, visit the Trieste Pint of Science website (in Italian).
