DescriptionAimed at students who have completed ICTP's Diploma Programme, this programme offers studies in: applied mathematics, mathematical analysis, geometry, mathematical physics; astroparticle physics, astrophysics; elementary particles; physics and chemistry of biological systems; statistical physics; condensed matter theory and numerical simulation. Who can applyICTP Diploma Programme students Length of the programme3 years LocationTrieste Deadline31 March Field of study/researchAstroparticle Physics; Astrophysics; Elementary Particles; Physics and Chemistry of Biological Systems; Statistical Physics; Theory and Numerical Simulation of Condensed Matter; Applied Mathematics; Mathematical Analysis; Geometry; Mathematical Physics Entitlements€13.638,47 gross per year (approx. €1030,00 net per month) for the entire duration of the course (3 years extendable to a fourth, subject to availability of funds and approval by ICTP/SISSA Governing bodies). A contribution towards living expenses of the amount of €100,00 gross per month will be awarded to those who will subscribe a registered rent contract. A contribution towards the expenses to be enrolled in the health insurance system up to € 198,77 per year. A contribution (70% of the amount of the fellowship) may be awarded to students who should be forced to suspend their activity due to illness, maternity or other serious reasons up to 5 months. Who can applyThe Programme is open to young, qualified graduates from all countries that are members of the United Nations, UNESCO or IAEA. The minimum qualification is a degree equivalent to a M.Sc. (or an exceptionally good B.Sc.) in physics.
