ICTP, CNPq Cosponsor Training Activities

The first ICTP-CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientí­fico e Tecnológico) joint meeting School-Workshop on Dynamical Systems will take place at IMPA (Instituto Nacional de Matemá¡tica Pura e Aplicada), in Rio de Janeiro, on 16-27 January. Jacob Palis, chairperson of the ICTP Scientific Council, and Marcelo Viana, winner of the Ramanujan Prize, are co-organizing the event. Under a joint agreement, subsequent ICTP-CNPq cosponsored research and training activities wiil also take place within the region.
