Medical Physics Graduation Today

The second class of the Masters in Medical Physics programme graduated today, marking the end of their intense two years of studies. The programme is designed to provide young, promising graduates of physics, mainly from developing countries, with postgraduate theoretical and clinical training so that they may be recognised as clinical medical physicists in their home countries.

Thirteen students were recognized at a ceremony in ICTP's Budinich Lecture Hall at 13:30 on 13 December, 2016. The ceremony was livestreamed, and subsequently posted on ICTP's Youtube channel.

The students returned to Trieste from cities around Italy earlier in the week, where they were completing the clinical training portion of their program at hospitals. They gathered to present their theses to a committee of advisors, external examiners, and clinical supervisor medical physicists before celebrating their graduation.

Congratulations to the graduates!
