Re-live Ramanujan Prize Ceremony

Did you miss ICTP's livestreaming of the Ramanujan Prize 2015 ceremony and lecture? If so, you can now view the event on ICTP's YouTube channel.

ICTP has also posted online a selection of photos taken during the ceremony.

ICTP held the Ramanujan Prize ceremony on Thursday 3 September. Amit Verma, First Secretary, Information and Culture of the Embassy of India in Rome, presented the award to prize recipient Amalendu Krishna, an Indian physicist who works at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. Krishna then gave a lecture on algebraic cycles and cohomology theories.

Krishna was awarded the Ramanujan Prize 2015 for his outstanding contributions in the area of algebraic K-theory, algebraic cycles and the theory of motives. In his work, Krishna has shown an impressive command of a very technical subject, applying the modern theories of algebraic K-theory and Voevodsky’s theory of motives to study concrete problems.

An interview with Krishna can be viewed here.
